Safeguarding China's 'water tower'
The Sanjiangyuan area, located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, is home to the headwaters of the Yangtze, Yellow, and Lancang rivers. It's known as China's "water tower."
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, Xi Jinping has inspected Qinghai Province three times and has always underlined the importance of preserving the Sanjiangyuan, the "water tower of China."
