In the current context of intertwined international changes and chaos, and the countercurrent of economic globalization, global industrial and supply chains are facing unprecedented challenges. At this moment, the holding of the third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) is undoubtedly injecting a "booster shot" into global economic development.
This CISCE has attracted over 650 Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions from 75 countries, regions and international organizations. It has set up six major chains and one supply chain service exhibition area, comprehensively showcasing the latest achievements and experiences of global industrial and supply chain cooperation. It resonates with the national opening-up strategy and upgrades services for Chinese and foreign enterprises.
The CISCE is closely aligned with the country's strategic deployment to promote international cooperation in industrial and supply chains. Against the wind of anti-globalization, China is actively promoting international cooperation in industrial and supply chains with the CISCE playing a critical role.
As the proportion of overseas exhibitors at this CISCE has increased to 35 percent, a Chinese-foreign exhibitors partnership is being established. It will also promote sharing and collaboration between Chinese and foreign enterprises in technology, resources and markets, and drive global industrial and supply chains towards a more stable, efficient and coordinated direction.
For example, multinational enterprises can reach out to optimal local suppliers in the Chinese market through the expo, reducing supply chain costs and enhancing product competitiveness. Chinese enterprises can also take this opportunity to cooperate with international advanced enterprises, learn advanced technologies and management experiences, expand overseas markets and achieve mutually beneficial win-win results.
Furthermore, the CISCE plays a unique role in optimizing regional opening-up which is an important measure for China to build a new pattern for all-round opening-up. Taking the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor as an example, through CISCE, logistics enterprises and manufacturing enterprises along the corridor can strengthen cooperation, optimize logistics routes, improve transportation efficiency, reduce logistics costs and promote coordinated regional economic development.

In the new global technological revolution and industrial transformation, innovation is the key to promoting industrial upgrading and enhancing international competitiveness. The expo has invited leading enterprises and specialized, sophisticated, distinctive and novel enterprises in various fields to participate. It has set up an innovation chain exhibition area and invited the World Intellectual Property Organization and the State Intellectual Property Office to set up booths and hold seminars and exchanges, promoting the coordinated development of innovation chains, industrial chains and value chains.
This is conducive to stimulating the innovation vitality of enterprises, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and accelerating industrial upgrading. For instance, in the digital technology chain exhibition area, the cutting-edge technologies and innovative application scenarios displayed by enterprises may provide new ideas and solutions for the digital transformation of traditional industries and promote the in-depth integration of the digital economy and the real economy.
From the perspective of serving Chinese and foreign enterprises, the CISCE has also made achievements in comprehensive quality improvement and upgrading. On the one hand, more accurate and efficient docking services have been provided for exhibitors. The expo holds a variety of themed activities around international supply chain cooperation, inviting academicians, experts and heads of Fortune 500 enterprises to participate, building a high-end communication platform for enterprises, helping them accurately find partners and expand business channels. The new exhibition zone, CISCE Launch zone, provides a stage for enterprises to display new products and technologies, assisting them enhance brand awareness and market influence.
On the other hand, policy support and service guarantees have been largely improved. The State Administration for Market Regulation, China's top market regulator, has provided policy guarantees for the CISCE, while Beijing Customs deploys personnel to provide customs clearance, supervision, consultation and other services.
Against the backdrop of many uncertainties in the global economy, the holding of the CISCE is of great significance. It not only demonstrates China's determination and actions to unswervingly expand opening-up, but also provides a platform for global enterprises to communicate, cooperate and overcome difficulties together, contributing China's strength to maintaining the stability and smoothness of global industrial and supply chains and promoting world economic recovery and development.
It is expected that the CISCE will continue to give play to its platform advantages, keep innovating and developing and enable enterprises from all over the world to achieve closer links using this platform to jointly create an open, win-win and bright future.
