BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Top leaders of Russia, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Vietnam, Laos and Cuba have recently sent messages or letters of congratulation to Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC).
Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his warmest congratulations to the Chinese side, saying that under the leadership of Xi, China has made remarkable achievements in economic, social, scientific and technological development and played an important role in resolving international and regional hotspot issues.
He said that Russia cherishes the good-neighborly friendship between the two countries and is willing to further consolidate their comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era.
Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, expressed his conviction that the Chinese people, uniting closely around the CPC with Xi at its core, will surely achieve the Second Centenary Goal.
He said that it is the consistent position of the DPRK party and government to continuously consolidate and develop the traditional friendship between the two countries, and it is believed that the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations will be further consolidated and developed in the new era.
To Lam, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnamese president, expressed his firm belief that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the CPC with Xi at the core, the Chinese people will surely achieve the goals and development strategies put forward by the 20th CPC National Congress, and build China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful at an early date.
