China supports reconciliation of Palestinian factions through dialogue, consultation

BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) -- China supports all Palestinian factions in achieving reconciliation and increasing solidarity through dialogue and consultation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Friday.

Wang made the remarks at a regular press briefing when asked about the meeting between Hamas and Fatah in Beijing on Friday, and the role China played in facilitating the meeting, as well as the outcome and the goal of that meeting.

"We support strengthening the authority of the Palestinian National Authority, and support all Palestinian factions in achieving reconciliation and increasing solidarity through dialogue and consultation," said Wang.
