BANGKOK, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, led a CPC delegation on a visit to Thailand from Friday to Sunday.
During the visit, Liu met and exchanged views with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, Thailand's ruling Pheu Thai Party President Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Pirapan Salirathavibhaga and other leaders of political parties in the ruling coalition.
Liu also attended an exchange event with Thai youth and met with Dhanin Chearavanont, senior chairman of Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group.
The two sides agreed to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, take the opportunity of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning on experience in governance, advance practical cooperation in various fields, enhance mutual understanding between the people, promote the development of China-ASEAN relations, and work together to build a China-Thailand community with a shared future.
