KUALA LUMPUR, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, led a CPC delegation on a visit to Malaysia from Thursday to Friday.
During the visit, Liu met and exchanged views with President of the People's Justice Party (PKR) and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, President of the United Malays National Organization (UMNO), Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy President of UMNO and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamad Hasan, Secretary-General of the Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Malaysian Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook, Secretary-General of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Hamzah Zainudin.
Liu also attended the Silk Road and Asian Civilization Forum.
The two sides agreed to take the opportunity of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations to promote closer inter-party exchanges, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, facilitate mutual understanding between the two peoples, and jointly build a China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
