CPC delegation concludes visit to Solomon Islands

HONIARA, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) concluded a three-day visit to the Solomon Islands on Sunday.

The delegation was led by Guo Yezhou, deputy head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

During the visit, the delegates met with leader of the Our Party and Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare, the party's deputy leader and Minister for Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification Bradley Tovosia, Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade Jeremiah Manele, and representatives of other political parties in the parliament.

Both sides hailed the fruitful cooperation between the two countries, which proves that the establishment of diplomatic relations is in the fundamental interests of the two peoples.

The two sides are also ready to further strengthen engagement between major political parties to promote a stable and long-term development of the relations between China and the Solomon Islands.
