China, Singapore enhance legal dialogue to promote commercial cooperation

SINGAPORE, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- The third International Commercial Dispute Resolution Conference between Singapore and China was held in the city-state on Friday to strengthen legal cooperation for better commercial activities.

Speakers from the government, legal and business sectors discussed dispute resolution in infrastructure projects, intellectual property domains, and the maritime and shipping service during the one-day event.

The conference also featured discussions on how lawyers and dispute resolution practitioners can develop partnerships to help businesses resolve commercial disputes more efficiently to promote cross-border trade and investment.

The event is jointly organized by Singapore's Ministry of Law, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization.
