BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda will pay an official visit to China from Sept. 23 to 30, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced on Thursday.
Prachanda has visited China many times and made important contributions to promoting the development of China-Nepal relations, Mao said during a regular news briefing.
President Xi Jinping will meet with Prime Minister Prachanda, Mao said, noting that Premier Li and top legislator Zhao Leji will hold talks and meet with him respectively.
The leaders of the two countries will have an in-depth exchange of views on deepening traditional friendship, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, and international and regional issues of common interest, the spokesperson said, noting that China is willing to work with Nepal to push bilateral ties to a new level.
During his visit, Prachanda is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, Mao said.
