On July 28, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Korean Peninsula Affairs Liu Xiaoming had a meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of Switzerland to China Bernardino Regazzoni. They exchanged views on the Korean Peninsula issue.
Liu Xiaoming shared his analysis of the current situation on the Peninsula and elaborated on China's principles and position on the Peninsula issue. He encouraged Switzerland to continue to play a constructive role in promoting the political settlement of the Peninsula issue.
Bernardino Regazzoni commended China for the important role it has played in addressing the Peninsula issue. He affirmed that Switzerland will maintain communication with China and continue its active mediation to facilitate the resumption of talks between relevant parties.
