GABORONE, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Botswana Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Gaborone Overseas Chinese Service Center donated 300 food parcels valued at 50,000 Pula (about 4,550 U.S. dollars) on Saturday in Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana.
Hu Zhongwen, chairman of Botswana Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Gaborone Overseas Chinese Service Center, said the food parcels would be distributed to support poor families in Gaborone South area.
Dumezweni Mthimkhulu, Botswanan assistant minister for presidential affairs, governance and public administration and a member of parliament for Gaborone South, thanked the Chinese business communities for the donation, as well as their support during difficult times over the years.
