CAIRO, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Arabic translations of two Chinese books on China's efforts in combating COVID-19 are available, said Ahmad al-Saeed, chairman of the Cairo-based Chinese-Egyptian institution Wisdom House for Cultural Industries.
"Diary of Chinese Battle against the Pandemic" and "Besieged Wuhan, Tales of Challenge and Resilience" share stories about China's fight against the novel coronavirus since the beginning of 2020.
Published originally in Chinese and English, "Diary of Chinese Battle against the Pandemic" has been translated into 21 languages and published in several countries.
Al-Saeed said the book provides useful information for all anti-coronavirus workers, including those in the medical field.
He stressed that the book is a comprehensive scientific guide for fighting the pandemic and depicts the exemplary collaboration between the government and the people in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
The other book, "Besieged Wuhan, Tales of Challenge and Resilience," unveils the details of the epidemic in the first days of its outbreak in China and the stories of the lockdown.
The book portrays measures taken at all levels in China to stem the spread of the virus, said al-Saeed.
In cooperation with both Chinese and Arab governmental institutions, the Wisdom House for Cultural Industries institution in Egypt has translated and issued publications on fighting COVID-19, with free online versions for students, aiming to raise people's awareness about the contagious disease.
