Greek scholars hail Global Civilization Initiative as significant to harmonious development

ATHENS, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Greek scholars have hailed the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, believing the efforts in promoting dialogue between civilizations will advance the harmonious development of the world.

Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Civilization Initiative at the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting on Wednesday.

Xi stressed that tolerance, coexistence, exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations play an irreplaceable role in advancing humanity's modernization process and making the garden of world civilization flourish.
